Music Industry and Legal Troubles
Speaker 1What's going on? I be your boy, the Global Zo, and you tuned in to another episode of Exposure and I'm with the gang Drago Mill, Van Damme, Body, Slam and we reporting live and we got some hot topics that we want to get into. Slam. What's happening, man?
Speaker 2So I can't call it man, Just cooling man, that's what's up, that's what's up.
Speaker 3That's what's up.
Speaker 1We're cooling too, man, we're cooling too. Hey, I'm getting a lot of good feedback, man, from the last episode. It's all about exposure. You need the exposure. You gotta touch the streets. You need that street credibility. You need that promotion and that's what exposure provides for the peace Out here at MIA, grinding like I always do.
Speaker 2Watch Exposure Getting hit in the head with that Exposure, you know what it is. Them down dollars.
Speaker 1Raylo number one DJs number one promoters for a show from Palm Beach. It's Exposed, it's wide open. Now Y'all check it out you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2Keep it locked with all of them throughout and you are watching Exposure For sure, for sure.
Speaker 1Yeah, I see the numbers doing well. I see people commenting. It was really good to see some of the dialogue in the comments. I'm like that's what's up. We need it. Yeah, we need it. We need it and we're going to keep running it back and we're going to run it back again.
Speaker 2Mm-hmm, we got to give it to them. Yeah, yes, sir.
Speaker 1Yes, sir, we gotta give it to him. Yes, sir, man, well, you know, hot topic man. First thing off the gate, the boy Young Thug, you know, I mean they came to a close with this case. I didn't even know. It's been two years, man. You've been locked up for like five, I think, no two, it was two and some change. Just two years, yeah, but I don't know, maybe because I kept seeing the case in the feed, like it just felt like it's fresh, but I ain't know, it's been two years sitting yeah, I wasn't watching it like that, but I watched like one clip one time and then from that it just kept showing me clips every time.
Speaker 2It was a little viral like moment. Yeah, it just showed me a clip on youtube, like, but I did.
Speaker 1I did watch the ending of it though, okay, okay yeah, his speech was a heartfelt, his speech was really good, but, um, I guess, I guess from the fan perspective, you know I'm saying, like you know, he said he want to be able to do music with gunna, you know what I mean and he has to leave the atlanta area, um, and probation is 15. I want to say it's 15 years probation. So I guess the two things that everyone's talking about, can you behave for 15 years and not get into any trouble? So I definitely think you got to leave your hometown to be able to make that happen.
Speaker 2I think that's part of it, though I think he can't be there. That's a part of the restrictions.
Speaker 3He can only go there to do a a little show, like for the games or something like that Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, yeah, the Gunna thing, because he's on contract with Gunna, so that's why they threw that in there, so him and Gunna is going to be able to still do their thing, do music, yeah, good, good, good.
Speaker 1So now I guess we got to see what are we gonna get from thug now, like, is it gonna change or he's still gonna be like? You know, is is his audience, because I feel like he, you know even the judge. They feel like he caters to the world and he has a younger audience as well. You know what I mean. But not, is he gonna? Is his music gonna change? Are we gonna allow him to grow? And you know, I mean still support him, or we're gonna be like. You know, when gc try to switch it up a little bit, I think he was already doing different music, though, like he already do different music.
Speaker 2So it's like I don't really think it's going to affect him that much. You know what I'm saying. Yeah, I think right now he's going to be focused on family more than anything. Like chilling with his kids and everything like that. That's what I would be focused on Right, right, right, you on your fans going to be there. I feel like he already at a status where his fans going to be there regardless. Especially through that situation. He done made it through that, so I feel like his real fans going to stick with him.
Speaker 3You're right, he was already doing it. He got some jams with Post Malone. I was listening to some of his old stuff. He still got some clean stuff. He can go to talk about the ladies. You know he can do it, he definitely can do it and some pop artists too.
Speaker 1I know there's a few pop records. The one that he didn't even want to do I think the lady waited a year for the verse and his mama the whole story about his mama telling him jump on the record. You know what I mean. Cause his homeboy told his mama, his mama called him and said, jump on the record. He end up doing it and that record's doing Pretty well as well and it's out of here. Different market.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 2It's crazy, he good.
Speaker 3He good he gonna be able to do it.
Speaker 2Yeah, I feel like he good, regardless yeah.
Speaker 1I'm happy for him, bro. I'm happy for him, man. So we'll see what the Drake and the Metro booming and all that. We'll just see what comes out of it, man, but shout out to Thug. I'm coming home, man coming home. Another thing we got is with Lil Durk. You know Lil Durk man, you know his situation is crazy. We're going to have to see how it plays out, but you know how the way the internet is, it's going to the internet got us all in investigation man man Y'all know he, hey, he made it worse man.
Speaker 2He tried to flee y'all, but I don't like how you going to prove that, like that's sometimes that's what people do to see if they got a warrant. You feel me Like, hey, I'm trying to see if I got a warrant.
Speaker 3Yeah, they got it man, they showed it. They said he tried to flee. He was in Miami when he got caught. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah, you know. And then all of this record label stuff we got to, like I said, the internet.
Speaker 1I feel like now, police I don't even know if police have to do a lot of work. I think if they wait long enough, first let the internet speculate. And I feel like academics must have got a different kind of plug, because he be lining the stuff all out for you. You know what I'm saying and it's just like well damn.
Speaker 2We got to learn from these situations. I feel like they making examples of them boys, for the younger generation, and I feel like we really got to. They literally putting lyrics on the stand, like using your lyrics against you. You know what I'm saying. So it's like we got to be careful and like really learn from this situation. Both of those situations, however they happen, or whatever, you know what I'm saying we got to learn from it, especially the young generation.
Speaker 1Absolutely.
Speaker 2Absolutely. They can use your words against you. Yes, your art, but you see what they can do to you like so is that taking your art?
Speaker 1that's crazy. You feel like that's taking the fun out of it, though, like you know, as musicians, when we, when we write in records, we coming up with ideas. You want to be free. You want to be able to say what you want now?
Speaker 2Now, for sure, we all love. Like the B-Fraps, let's be honest, like the Tupacs and Biggies. You know what I'm saying yeah. Like we all love that, but when it started turning into like other stuff you know what I'm saying it's like it's different, it's different.
Speaker 3Okay, so who can I say really, really?
Speaker 2started. It's on another level now.
Speaker 3Right, right, tupac. And the Biggie thing, what was it? It was just, you know, them hating each other. That was what it was. If this, if that, back and forth to each other. You know what I'm saying, but I want to blame the guy that's actually running the game. I don't want to too much blame him, because before I even go there, let me say this I've heard from an OG, I've seen it somewhere. They said in music back then they spoke about selling the product, not taking the product and selling out. You know, selling the people out for the product. But when 50 came out, he changed the game. When it came to beef and, speaking straight up towards the artists, nobody really used to say names outside of Tupac.
Speaker 3Oh, the subliminals. Yeah, nobody really went there, right? So I think when we heard 50, when we was in high school, I don't, when I, bro, I don't speak my heart.
Speaker 2But a lot of people dissed each other though Facts.
Speaker 1They just never really went there like that with. I was talking about how to rap, but a lot of people dissed each other though.
Speaker 2Facts dissed each other too, but it just never really went there like that with a lot of people. It was just rap. Yeah, like nowadays it's different, people is really putting their crimes. Like it's different when you rap beefing, but it's another thing when you actually putting the crime. It's like you know what I'm saying To the lyrics. It's like yeah, yeah, it's another thing, like it's only so much I can defend like you.
Speaker 3Gotta be smarter with it. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2I say that because, like we still can't, we still gotta like, have our freedom of speech and get our art, but we just gotta be smarter with it facts.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, yeah, I say that because, uh, a track like mini-man, 50 mini-man, which death upon me, all that, you know what I'm saying. So, uh, uh, my buddy as in the gun, and all that, you know what I'm saying? I don't know. I just I just feel like he probably started and everybody needed to cap that like to, to, to go above that. I mean, that was the reason why I mentioned that. But yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right, we need to stop. Uh, I mean, that was the reason why I mentioned that. But yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right, you're right, we need to stop.
Speaker 2And I think it's the fans too. Like we hype it, like everybody hype it, like everybody hype the Beast. And then when something happens, it's like, oh, why this happened. But when the Beast going.
Speaker 1No, everybody hype it. This is true. No, this is true. Everybody tro this. Do that why you ain't doing this. And then when they go down, everybody like, oh, he don't why he did that. And I feel like that's exactly the dirk situation. Right, oh, he ain't gonna ride for king vaughn. And then now allegedly whatever, this case is going on with the murder for hire thing. Now it's like, oh, he's stupid. He had the world in his hands and and look what he done, did. And it's kind of like, damn you damn if you do, you damn if you don't. It's tough.
Speaker 2You know you can say that, but at the same time it's like this, your brother like so it's like it don't even matter about the fans if that's what happened, but like it's still alleged, like we still got to see how it come out. I like what he was doing before. All that happened before all that happened Like it's crazy that he was trying to bring him and a couple more artists was trying to bring like the beef shit down and trying to bring both sides together.
Speaker 2and then this happened. Yeah, it's like that's fucked up, you know. It's like they was like oh nah, you ain't finna bring them together, y'all ain't finna come together. Nah, we finna stop this. Come here.
Speaker 1Mm that's true. No, that's true. So I guess when it comes to beef, is there anything? Y'all feel like it's off limits, like when it comes to like, let's say, you, we're trying to keep it on on wax like it's just music, but when you are attacking each other, is there anything?
Speaker 3off limits, bro, the kids in the family, the kids in the family man, the family in general, bro I don't even like rap beefing with people that I got beef with.
Speaker 2I don't like doing that. It's not something I'm into.
Speaker 1I'm just thinking about that concept because it's like what takes it too far.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1I thought this was going to be music, but now I feel like when I see you, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3I got my hands on you.
Speaker 1Where does it go from? Oh, they just doing, they just, you know, they keeping it on the music terms versus oh shoot. Now we backstage and it's rumbling the jungle, I think right now.
Speaker 3I think right now it's not fully like what we think. It is because the music game needed and they, they know, they know we need it, because, uh, that's why I don't think these boys went too far, they just kept it between each other. You know, I'm saying for what we just recently had you talking about drake and kendrick? Yeah, yeah, and everybody outside of that. Okay, you know I'm saying so yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2So that's how I knew. That's that's how I knew it was it was.
Speaker 3It was about know what I'm saying. We need it, bro. The music. You know the music not where it's at, where it need to be. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1And Kendrick got a hit out of it too.
Speaker 3Can't be too bad, bro. He took that man formula, you know what I'm saying. He took Drake formula. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1So hey, he beat formula. You know what I'm saying. So hey, you beat him with his own formula. You know performing at the super bowl? Now that wasn't a bad lick but, it just seems like you know, and I think we all are. I think definitely, when you talk about the southern you know anybody in the south. I feel like we all Wheezy fans, but it's like you know when they say stuff about the internet and then all of a sudden it starts popping on your timeline.
Speaker 1I started seeing performances of Wheezy not his best ones, but those started circulating and it's like you can kind of see like okay, damn, you know, lately it just ain't been the best performances, but can he put on a show for the Super Bowl? Absolutely, it just ain't been the best performances, but can he put on a show for the Super.
Speaker 1Bowl, absolutely. You know what I mean. Them boys practiced them. I think 50 said they practiced for seven days before the Super Bowl performance. So you get the, you know, but you got to also spend your own money. I didn't know that part.
Speaker 2That's Wayne. I feel like that's Wayne, though, man.
Speaker 3Yeah, but it's all right.
Speaker 2Here's another situation. Like he said you got to pay for this one song, this one song versus a whole legacy. Like I get it. He won the battle, I get it yeah this don't have nothing to do with this the super bowl in new orleans, man hometown, hometown at that all right, all right you take, take the beef song out of it and all that but we live in a new time.
Speaker 3People move on trendy exactly so.
Speaker 2Besides that song, what is the reason he performing?
Speaker 1I'm with you on that Slant. I ain't gonna even argue.
Speaker 2I felt the same way.
Speaker 1I did too. I felt the same way.
Speaker 3I did too. I felt the same way. I did too, I feel the same way I did too.
Speaker 2I did too. I respect that he won.
Speaker 3I get it, he won.
Speaker 2But it's Weezy man and like. In the end, though, when they had it in LA, they made sure they had some LA artists.
Speaker 1Yes, they did, yes, they did, yes, they did. And I guess that's what 50, you know, he kind of brought up that. You know the Jay-Z situation and how, like I guess Dre made sure like if I'm doing it, 50 got to be a part of it. Like you know what I'm saying, there ain't no way I'm doing it without 50. And I think that's what got 50 to make that cameo.
Speaker 3Yeah, that was Eminem. Eminem said that he ain't doing any of this.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was Eminem. Okay, so it's hard, man, it's hard. I think Wayne had a good response though, because I think a lot of people spoke out on his behalf. But you know, he took it like a G and maybe down the road. But Wayne is a lot older too. He should have definitely get his flowers now. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3I felt like on that response he blamed himself, he apologized and he blamed himself. He said I should have done better. That's what he said, what you mean, that's what he said on that response.
Speaker 3It kind of felt like he let the fans down. That's what he said. So he blamed himself. If you really watch that video, he kind of apologized. He said he didn't even know that the fans still rocked with him to this day. Like that, yeah, yeah, yeah, like if you really watch the whole video, I watched the whole thing. It was a good maybe two minutes, three minutes. But yeah, he was shocked that, you know, everybody was still rocking with him and that he let the fans down, and you know it is what it is, you know. But he let the fans down and you know it is what it is, you know. But he wasn't too happy either, because there was an early interview about him, you know. They asked him would he do it?
Speaker 1Oh yeah.
Speaker 3Yeah. He said yeah, I would. This is a year before that, because the Super Bowl just happened, that last year. And they asked him hey, you know it's going to New Orleans next year. If they come to you, it would you. He said yeah, man, I would love. You know he would love to, he would definitely do it. He said so that was in the air before all of them on espn.
Speaker 2This man I've been with shannon uh, what's his name? Skipper first take, he got. He got a song on there. Like I just feel like I just feel like they dropped the ball with that, like how you not have wheezy, even if you had kendrick still, and how you didn't have Wheezy. Like I just feel like that was a slap in the face, not from Kendrick or nobody but like from the NFL, whoever the people over there yeah that's hard.
Speaker 1And when you think of Wheezy, I mean he would have held it down on his own, but you think about the guest appearances that probably would have popped out from some of the features. Man.
Speaker 2Like he was a little limited. Oh yeah, oh yeah, his generational run that he done, had he done, had like five, six, seven, wheezes.
Speaker 1We probably would have got Drake. We probably would have got Drake.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, because he didn't pay for it, we probably would have got Drake. Oh, speaking on that, drake got offered this three times. The Speaking on that Drake got offered this three times. The Super Bowl yeah, he turned it down three times. Yeah, I heard that. Yeah, I heard that. Yeah, we would have definitely got Drake. We got Wayne. Come on y'all.
Speaker 1Drake, but they say Drake don't need it. That's part of the reason. If he got to pay for your own production, he already torn worldwide, selling out every arena. I don't even know if he even performed at arenas anymore. It's like what's the point? He already kind of doing that. Yeah, agreed, you know, agreed, that's crazy.
Speaker 3Big as the what Yo. So oh, he's doing the World Cup.
Speaker 1Drake. Yeah, oh shit, he's doing the World Cup I didn't know about that.
Speaker 3Yeah, he do the World Cup, so you know the internet. Again, again what you said, van Damme again the internet. The Super Bowl is 100 million viewers, right, okay, the World Cup 300.
Speaker 15 billion, 5 billion 5 million Versus 300 million 5 billion million.
Speaker 3I already know Super Bowl 100 million viewers Like yeah, yeah, I'm with you, that's for sure that he doing that. Oh, it's confirmed, cause it was yeah also. I'll send y'all the link. I'll send y'all the link.
Speaker 1But I didn't know Like what? Yeah, it wasn't. Until recent I knew that soccer Was the biggest like sport, like worldwide was the biggest like sport, like worldwide, yeah, and like I didn't really think about it like that, you know what I mean. But soccer football, they call it the real football. Like that thing is global man. 2020, right, like I didn't know it was that big of a deal. 2028, yeah, world Cup bro, so he's performing at that one.
Speaker 3I thought, World Cup.
Speaker 1Oh, that's going to be lit.
Speaker 3So you know the internet, you already know what they do with their numbers and like oh, he upped them Like nah, dog, it's business, it's smart, it is what it is Might as well. Just say Drake is already worldwide. You know what I'm saying.
LeBron's Legacy and Video Games
Speaker 2And that was another topic too.
Speaker 3You know what I'm saying. So Drake not being at the Super Bowl, or Wayne, but yeah, man it's all politics, man and business, bro.
Speaker 1Well, boy, jay-z got a. I don't know if we're ever going to hear from Jay-Z. I don't think he has to say anything, but we know the role he's playing in the NFL is going to keep him on board with that role with selecting the performers. So I guess maybe down the road we'll hear from him or his take on it. We don all know. We'll just have to see and stay posted on that?
Speaker 2I don't think he gonna speak on it. Yeah yeah, me neither.
Speaker 1Me, either. Me neither. I feel the same way, me, neither, man. On another note, though, man, I've been happy to see this. I think we all especially if you got kids, man the history of, uh, what lebron and brony have been able to accomplish with la um, you know what I mean. Uh, how y'all feel about that, man, and did y'all watch the first game? And I think you're, you're miami heat.
Speaker 3Yeah, I'm a heat fan, but uh, but still, you know I, I that's. That was iconic man, that was iconic. Okay, I, I don't mind. Like, I know I'm a heat, I'm a big Heat fan, but I do have players that I do. Like you know, I may not go for the team but I respect and I love the players. Like you know from back then the Heat times, like shoot, I was a big Vince Carter fan. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 3Big Steve Francis fan, tracy McGrady. But yeah, like we all liked the Jordan, he wasn't you, it's just iconic. Yeah, but yeah, braun and brawny man, oh man, beautiful there's, it might not be no other man. And right now, because braun, when brawny's on the bench, lebron going off, I think I think he's gonna go for it, y'all, I think they're gonna go for it, they're gonna go for it.
Speaker 3Yeah, I think, bro, to. To have your son on the team and to win a championship. It's almost going to be forever not broken, bro. If you do that. It can't Bro. It's a new record. He just made history two times Again. Bro, if they do it, I think he's going to go for it.
Speaker 1I know, anthony, they're coming out strong. And Anthony Davis I don't know what happened over this break here but boy, if he stay like this and stay healthy, yeah, they can compete. They definitely can compete. But that's dope to be able to play with your child, man, I can't even imagine yeah for sure, that's funny I'm going to shed tears on the bench.
Speaker 3That was a tough scene, man. That was really good man. Father, figure boy on the court with his son.
Speaker 2Why he ain't doing in cleveland, though.
Speaker 3Um well, well, I don't know if you saw um, ronnie, first points was in cleveland, cleveland yeah, his first.
Speaker 2You know why they?
Speaker 1why he didn't go to cleveland and do that bros that the business that would have been that wouldn't have been fire it would have made it more impactful, knowing that's where they from.
Speaker 2I feel like, because the Lakers just got big expectations, I feel like the light is heavy on them.
Speaker 3Can we say they're the cowboys of the NBA, like it's America's team.
Speaker 2The Lakers is the America's team, I guess you could say it because it's america's team, it's the lakers is the america, I guess you can say because it's the lake show. So I feel like the expectation is so high, so like, if he don't perform how, I feel like it's not gonna be good for him, like this is watching like they're expecting so much from him I feel, like it would have been better at the umaliers and he would have did it at home. You know what I'm saying. He could have built it up.
Speaker 2Lebron helped them boys get better before he go out. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3Man. I don't think they wanted him there anymore.
Speaker 2They couldn't be high on Brunny when LeBron gone.
Speaker 1I don't think they wanted him over there. No, that's true. I don't know if he'll shortly after. This is true, but that is a lot of pressure for a young man coming in.
Speaker 3Your dad being who he is Hell yeah. Remember they was vandalizing his home. Remember they was messing his business up. Remember all that was going down after he was over there.
Speaker 1When he left Cleveland.
Speaker 3No, before that, yeah, they was vandalizing his stuff business. It's almost like they didn't want him there, yeah.
Speaker 1Yeah, when he just left again. When are you talking about yeah, when he left again, okay okay.
Speaker 2Yeah, a lot of that was happening. I didn't know he was leaving.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, there you go. Are you leaving again? There you go.
Speaker 1Business, the business, there you go, there you go, there you go the business.
Speaker 2Come on man. You went to the south and did business.
Speaker 3You was in Central, you had business, and now you out west. Definitely going to win, you're going to win, bro.
Speaker 1And I guess Lakers known for winning, they known for like. So I can kind of see. I don't know. Maybe Bronny can handle it, though, because I feel like he's always been in the spotlight you know what, lebron, being your dad from high school, from his league from high school, and pops showing up to the games, and he would have the other baller, carmelo Anthony and Dwayne Wade you had all these big dogs coming in your game watching and rooting for you. So we'll just have to see. But I know he had one game where he balled. He had like 17 points up. You know what I mean. It's like the stats have been going up. Slowly and surely he's getting more confident in the shot. So he just got to man. Like I said, boy, he got to go out there and show out each and every single day man Preseason game.
Speaker 3yeah, he went off. He went off 17 points, yo 17?. Yeah, that was a preseason.
Speaker 1Preseason Okay, yeah, okay, well, we'll see. Man, I'm rooting for them boys, man I'm happy for LeBron.
Speaker 3I'm happy for LeBron. Happy for Bron. I'm happy for LeBron.
Speaker 1Yeah, he leading the way, man Leading the way, call Black Op 6?. Yeah, yeah, black Op 6. Six. So talk to me, man, what's going on with?
Speaker 2that I'm going to let Van Dam go first. I'm still undecided on it. I ain't even going to lie. I ain't getting it yet. I'm still undecided on it. You on a con I've been talking to a couple of my homies and I'm still undecided on it, why you say Zombies, kind of cool. The multiplayer is like the same thing. Basically they got Newtown on there again. I like that, but besides that it's like I'm a Warzone kind of dude.
Speaker 3It's coming, it's coming, I'm still undecided, you got it. Drago, yeah, yeah, I got it. It's coming. The thing is that I don't play zombies. I don't like playing those zombie games or nothing like that.
Speaker 2I'm not a fan.
Speaker 3Even though they be forcing me to play those scary games, I'm still not a fan. Dude, I see you spooking out on them games. I don't like it, but I really can't sleep at night, bro. I can't sleep at night, bro. They like it, they love it, but, bro, that shit bothers me.
Speaker 1They be jumping animated, I'm like, oh shit, I don't want to be playing.
Speaker 3No game Bro what they don't know. Bro, I got the heart meter going, bro, it's almost hitting 130,. Bro, I'm about to die out here, bro, I'm not a fan though, but no, the duty is dope. I'm going to tell you Van, it's dope. The new movement is coming to Warzone, the reason why I would say you ain't got no Xbox or you're not running on a PC. You can play it for cheaper monthly on Game Pass, so that's why I'm playing it now. I didn't purchase the game.
Speaker 2What's the movement?
Speaker 3If you got an Xbox or you're on PC, you can play it for less than $20. I think it's a subscription for games, for over 100-something games you can play it. Is that a monthly, that $20? Subscription? Yeah, I think they got different tiers. I think it's $20. I can't remember. I didn't pay $20 for that, but it's probably the $10 version. I can't remember. But the reason why I got it, my son also has an Xbox, okay, and I have the PC. So it helps both of us. So if he has it, I have it. But long story short, nah, man, it's good you can set up, you can get your stuff ready for the loadouts for the warzone on there. My take on it I went off so much on that weekend on that release I got banned, I killed, I went off when I say went off so much on that weekend on that release.
Speaker 2I got banned Huh.
Gaming Bans and Cheating Repercussions
Speaker 3I killed motherfuckers. I went off. When I say went off, I was annihilating motherfuckers so much that they reported me, so much that they banned me.
Speaker 1I don't like this gaming world my homie just got banned for like a year. For what? But where's?
Speaker 2the proof. He was writing somebody like writing messages in them and talking trash, and they banned him for a whole year. He can't even play his game. He can't play no games on his Xbox.
Speaker 1Oh, but they got the receipts for that, like that's why I don't understand. How am I playing the game and you just report me and I'm out of here, bro.
Speaker 3all right, so it used to be that way.
Speaker 2Yeah, they definitely like it on PlayStation.
Speaker 3Right on PlayStation. My band is called a shadow band. I can play, but they put me in a lobby with cheaters. So let me give you an example. Okay, let's just say these lights, right, that's a person, and because they got an automatic cheater on their controller, it automatically aims at the next person while they're shooting. So it's not human reflex.
Speaker 1Right. So how do you know when somebody cheats?
Speaker 2They just too accurate when you die at somebody and you don't even see nobody shot you. You're like where the fuck did I get shot from? I don't even see nobody, I don't even get shot Me through the wall. I feel it Hit me. I don't need to see nobody, I need to shot me through the wall. Hit me. I wasn't even like somewhere you can't even get shot at. How the fuck he hit me.
Speaker 3So when you died, let's just say they kill you. It shows a replay. It shows a replay Like how did I die? Sometimes you see a grenade come from the other side of the field and they landed by you. So that might be no. But I you'll see a grenade come from the other side of the field and it landed by you in box. So that might be legit. No, I be hating cheaters, bro man. So these lobbies. I'm in there with multiple people, but now I'm not getting no kills or nothing like that. Like the way I was playing, I'm not. So I will tell you why I got banned. I had 132 kills and died six times. So if I was on the other team, I would report myself too. But still, why no, bro? Okay, take your L. Does it sound crazy?
Speaker 2It doesn't sound crazy it doesn't sound crazy, so okay.
Speaker 3So because it's happening, it really wasn't on my fault, so the thing is all right. So I have video, I have people watching me, I'm live streaming, all right, my reactions. Some people have really actually good aim. This was the first game where I actually showed my keyboard and mouse skills. Like I became really really good at it and I was going to elevate. Like my numbers started going up, started getting good, started getting great, and I'm like, oh yeah, I'm gonna. I'm like I went to sleep knowing I'm like, oh yeah, I'm gonna go fully content on it, I'm gonna. I already started planning because I saw, I knew what my skills was and the boys were like Dre, you need to go all the way in with it. So again on the weekend, going ham. When that happened, I just gave up. So now I'm in the lobbies. It's not for long. So they have an AI. When people report you, they have an AI that automatically puts you in these lobbies.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 3So now it gives you five to seven days for them to review it, so an actual human can go see all your videos.
Speaker 1Okay.
Speaker 3Because it's on their servers. They can go back and watch all of it. Okay, so they got me in timeout. That's why one of the homies made a post and said free Drago. So yeah, they got me in jail right now.
Speaker 2Oh damn yeah, that chat being real bro.
Speaker 3Yeah, I don't like that, but if I'm killing you, I don't like that bro.
Speaker 2It isn't man. Let me play my game.
Speaker 1It's like somebody you playing and when you start whooping their ass, you start blowing them out.
Speaker 3It's like somebody you playing, and when you start whooping their ass like you start blowing them out, they reset the game. It's like the same thing. No-transcript. That's what they did, Because there was a high number of it.
Speaker 1You balled out too much, bro, bro.
Speaker 2You can't be balling on people like that you got to be great, right Van Am. And then they go, and they go and report it, they go report it.
Speaker 3And then now they got the audios all out. Van Am, you got to be great right to make it. You got to be great Right. Yeah, yo, nobody want to lose If you get more wins everybody want to see you win, damn. And now they just gave me a big L, so on a scale of 1 through 10,.
Speaker 1What is this? How do you rate this game? If a consumer's still undecided 1 through 10, what would you give the score right now? Is it too early? No, it's not.
Speaker 3It's not too early, I'm going to give it a nine. Oh Damn, that's up there, it's the best one out right now and it's the highest paid. It's the highest. They made the most money out of all the duties ever created and it's probably been like 100 of them probably and this is the best one. It sold the most and they made the most money on this one right now. They already got 500 something million right now.
Speaker 2Damn.
Speaker 3They're about to get a couple of bills soon. Damn yeah.
Speaker 2Up again.
Speaker 3The player base. Right now, I think it's 700K people playing every day, 700,000 people playing it every day.
Speaker 1God, yeah, it's lit, it's lit. I started watching your stream. I started watching some of it. Man man, when you went live on that thing, I was like Golly boy. I think I did about 30 minutes, boy. Now I was like yeah.
Speaker 3They stick around, man, and you know Again, they like it, they donate, they sub. So it is what it is. Yeah, man, promoting the album on there, you know. Oh, yeah, you were saying you wereoting the album on there, you know.
Speaker 1Oh yeah, you were saying you were playing the album on there. How did it go?
Speaker 3Yeah, afterwards at the end I asked a few. Some people didn't stick around. I should have asked during the. I messed up. I got so into the game and when I was bumping it, they do love Watch Me. For some reason, Watch Me topped right right now. That's why I chose to do that to watch me um, um and uh. The one with me, you and van der okay, eat that they like eat that. Okay, there you go. They like eat that a lot, a lot yeah that's the way to promote man.
Speaker 2That's a she yeah that's yeah that's all good dog I am not mad at that.
Speaker 1Hell yeah, hell yeah. Next thing we want to talk about is this Ricky Williams man being sued by the Miami Dolphins.
Speaker 2I was looking at him. I didn't even see that this came out of nowhere. I'm not going to lie.
Ricky Williams, Weed, and Performance
Speaker 3Yeah, he was talking to it with the OGs. You know Haslam and them over there on the OG podcast. So I didn't know either. When you know he stepped away Remember he stepped away guys so they tried to get the money from Ricky from his signing bonus over there. Who did he sign with? I don't want to get it wrong.
Speaker 1Not New.
Speaker 3Orleans? Yeah, I think it's.
Speaker 1New Orleans Could have been New Orleans.
Speaker 3I think it was. Was it Rams or New?
Speaker 1Orleans, one of them, new Orleans, yeah.
Speaker 3Yeah, so when they signed him, that's what they signed him for. And then the Dolphins tried to get that back from him because they picked him up after that team over there but he ghosted and went away and they wanted. I think they got it. I think he said they got it. They got the eight mil from him. Yeah, they sued him for it. Yeah, but he wanted to come back. I think I can't remember I didn't go too far in it because I was in and out, but yeah, that was shocking. Yeah, about eight million. Eight point something Recently?
Speaker 1Yeah, no, not recently, back then.
Speaker 3Back then Because nobody knew the Ricky Williams story. Nobody really knew it, you know social media wasn't social media.
Speaker 1I mean, we know he ain't finished out his contract, so we knew something had to be back. Paid Right.
Speaker 3You know what I'm saying yeah, yeah, that's crazy, yeah. And then he said straight up, do I really want to do this? And he asked himself that. He said, man, he chose weed over everything, bro, he chose smoking over everything.
Speaker 2They should get that man his money back. Man, Ain't that some crazy, though?
Speaker 1If you look at the times now, you know that ought to be a whole different time For all the years that he missed out playing.
Speaker 2Yeah, get that man his eight mil back and then compensate him for all the years that he missed playing football.
Speaker 3That's crazy. Yeah, that was tough and that was to go into the next one. I don't know, I don't consume weed, but I've seen it in the music studio where I know this guy's sober but when he's on the weed he comes in and does it really enhance you, like you guys know? Does it enhance, enhance you, like, does you guys know, does it enhance you and make you better at your skill? Cause he spoke about that too.
Speaker 2I feel like it depends. It depends and it could vary, cause you could say, yeah, just music. But now I had this dude who I know like fucking boxing and shit and he told me shit, he, he was fucking training and he was whooping niggas' ass when he ate edible. So it's like it could. I guess it could and that's unique for a boxer. It depends Michael Phelps Shit. Michael Phelps Shit. Ricky Williams said it too. He said he had a problem swimming.
Speaker 3Shit, shit. Ricky williams said it too. He said he had a problem swimming shit, yeah, yeah right, it depends how you want to put it.
Speaker 1That's crazy man yeah, because then just shakira. You know shakira, situation, the track runner.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying when they find that in her, her sister, that's, uh, I don't know, man, I guess that's a that, what that's?
Speaker 1I don't know man. I guess that's a good question, man. I don't know if it really. I think people get into a zone or a space, but I wouldn't say it's. You know what I mean? It's like a steroid. I don't see it like a steroid. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3Yeah, I don't think they should get penalized for it because it's not a steroid. Yeah, that's what.
Speaker 1I'm saying I don't even know if I said the word right.
Speaker 3Steroid? Yeah right, I'm not even going to try. But no, yeah, I don't see it like that. But I have seen at least two people. Like they're not the you know, they still definitely have an enhance in the studio. Like they're not the you know, they still definitely have an enhance in the studio to me I've seen that. But athlete wise, I don't know, man, that's that's why I asked the question. But that's dope if it does, that's dope to me they'll find anything.
Speaker 2I think I think it's even a bigger challenge if you do that and still able to perform like, yeah, I would too. I think you should get rewarded more for that. Wait a minute, you out here doing this. There's people who are sober and can barely win, like this, and you out here doing this huh yeah, you still able to focus. You still able to compete at a high level.
Speaker 3I have consumed something way in the past and it mellows me. I don't even know how You're still able to focus. You're still able to compete at a high level. I have consumed something way in the past and it mellows me. I don't even know how people go forward. When I say mellow, it put me out. Boy, I mellowed out, Really mellowed out.
Speaker 1Yeah, I just think with some of these things it's like when you have to lean on it so much to to perform because it's such a routine or I don't know if you want to say it's a memory. But the scary part is I know back in our younger days, when I was you know we're artists and we would, uh, perform certain people had to pop a bean to get ready for the stage and I'm kind of like uh, you know, first it's like you see it once, you see it twice, and then it was like one time it wasn't.
Speaker 1They didn't have access to it. We almost had to go find it and I'm kind of like man, we about to hit the stage in like three minutes, literally three minutes, and that's when I started to realize, well damn, I don't want to ever be on something where I can't function without it, because I don't see what it made people do. It's almost like if this is my opportunity to blow right here. I made my side on it because I don't got this drug or this fix and that's my only thing with it. Dog is I like do your thing, but I would like to see you be able to perform with or without it. You know, if you can't perform without it, then then we got another problem.
Speaker 2Yeah, this is true, this is true.
Mike Tyson's Legacy and Boxing Decline
Speaker 1That's crazy, yeah, but I wouldn't stretch that too much on that tip at all. But I tell you what I am hyped for this Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight.
Speaker 2For real bro.
Speaker 1For real, listen, listen.
Speaker 2I don't feel like this man should be getting a shot at Mike Tyson man.
Speaker 3I felt like that early on. I felt the same way early on bro.
Speaker 2I know it's entertainment and they got to get money, but come on, man, iron Mike, I feel like he don't turn his name, bro.
Speaker 3That's going to make me sad, though That'll make me sad though.
Speaker 2Right.
Speaker 1That'll make me sad, bro. He can't be.
Speaker 2Iron Mike when he first was getting those Mayweathers. I think fight Mayweathers, something like that. Jake, who was the first person he fought? Who was the first person he fought? Definitely wasn't.
Speaker 1Mayweather Damn Huh, it was somebody. Damn Huh, it was somebody.
Speaker 2I can't remember Somebody I don't know, but I was like, how is this dude even getting this? Like how.
Speaker 3They got the bread, bro. If you got the bread man, hey, think about it. If you know some, all right, you're going to go after somebody, that's their field, but you got the money to put up. Yo Van Nant, what's up? One point, whatever mil or 25 mil, for me to get the ring on.
Speaker 2I ain't got my legacy on the line for that and that's true, you ain't even earn it. Your money can't buy my legacy.
Speaker 3But where they at, they might need that. You don't know where they're mindset at the moment. Mayweather don't need no money right now. Nah nah, nah, not no Mayweather bro. Nah nah, nah. Not no Mayweather bro. Like nah nah, just somebody else, not no.
Speaker 2Mayweather. I know Tyson don't need it either. You can go talk at any boxing fight you want to and get paid. You can be a boxing sportsman at any league you want to right now, if you're hurting for money.
Speaker 1This is true. Now question Is this an exhibition fight or is this a regular fight?
Speaker 2I feel like that's all it is. It's an exhibition, it's all exhibition.
Speaker 1It's kind of like don't try to kill each other.
Speaker 2Yeah, it's all exhibition Like they spawn.
Speaker 3For real. Because remember Roy Jones fought Tyson in the ring? Yeah, but that was like an exhibition.
Speaker 1Yeah, yeah, all of it is. That's like sparring. No, jake Paul ain't fighting nobody. I mean, he fought different people. There's a Ryan Berlin, there's an Andre August, there's a Nate Diaz I think that's the one of them. We was Tommy Fury and Anderson Silva. That was a former.
Speaker 2UFC fighter.
Speaker 1Yeah, you know what I'm saying. So yeah, it wasn't Mayweather. Yeah, I'm saying so yeah, it wasn't Mayweather. Yeah, I'm just trying to double check. It wasn't Mayweather, but I don't know where that really came from. I feel like you know they was on YouTube.
Speaker 2They was either trying to fight him or saying he was or something.
Speaker 1Yeah, I think it was some hype around that it was.
Speaker 3It was, it was came up and then, um, they did that, they threw the word around and they went with phyro and and, but they, they, they had the money, they bet. And I guess them boys are going after the money win or lose.
Speaker 1you know, I'm saying yeah, I think because there was on the internet. It just made sense like, oh, let's put them boys in the ring. They already got a following. This would be good for ticket sales. You know, I'm saying because the other brother rest. I know he's doing wrestling now it. It looks like he's doing pretty good. Yeah, Logan yeah, yeah, he's doing pretty good in the wrestling ring. I feel like he might be already in the top 15, top 20, as far as athletes is concerned, he's doing pretty good, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1Them boys are trolls, man, oh man. But now, like you said, with Mike Tyson, tyson man, he was like that legacy. I I don't know about these exhibitions, man I feel like if you want to go out, man, you go out the way you went out and let us watch the old clips and reminisce and stuff like that. But seeing mike now and it's like you just I don't even know they ain't gonna knock him out, but it ain't the same he's too iconic man to be doing that, man thank you even had a privilege of fighting mike tyson man there it is.
Speaker 3He need to get in the ring with somebody we know that's gonna mess him up like, because that's what we want that's what somebody on his level like, but he he gets to say he fought, mike tyson, mike tyson don't get to say I fought jake paul.
Speaker 1You know what I mean exactly.
Speaker 2That's his legacy, you know how many people would have worked up for that? How many boxers put in real sweat and tears trying to work their way up the ranks to fight an iconic boxer to get a name, and then this dude is just doing this. I get it. It's different times and everything, but come on, mike Tyson.
Speaker 3It's different times and everything, but come on, mike Tyson, it's because we really, bro, we ain't really got nobody doing it outside of them boys that's doing it in boxing. Y'all know, boxing was the thing back then. Growing up it was the sports to watch outside of football and basketball. You know what I'm saying. So boxing.
Speaker 2You got some good light heavyweights, though we we we, no, no, we do.
Speaker 3But you, no, we do. But you know what I'm saying. But look once they're not there. Boxing was almost all the way around when we were growing up, we always had something going on with boxing. But when them boys not in the limelight, like boxing is you know back to the back corner. You know what I'm saying. It was almost all year round back in the day. So I mean now UFC's a thing.
Speaker 1You know what I'm saying, yeah, something's going on. With boxing, though, I feel like the, especially when the heavyweights, the people who was killing it, they're like going on a decline. Like they're not even gonna be able. Like I feel, like with Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, like I thought these boys was invincible once upon of time, Especially when they was knocking people out, and now lately, it's like I'm seeing them doors go down and I'm like this can't be.
Speaker 3When I see that, bro, I'm like they got some money in this man, they got politics in this. You think so, bro? The first time Wilder went down, I feel like man he ate that. He just went down Like bro. It ain't bothering me, bro, that wasn't a real takedown to me. I feel like he went down to his knee, bro Are we talking Tyson Fury. Yeah, man, the first time he went down, bro like no.
Speaker 2Oh no, I think he just got outboxed. Yeah, bro, bro Tyson, he didn't get beat up, he just got out of the box. Yeah, that's it. He thought Buddy wasn't in shape and he thought his muscle. He was just going to come in there and whoop, Buddy yeah. And everyone just saying he a power puncher.
Speaker 1That's what everyone kept saying. He's a power puncher. And Tyson Fury more strategic, more of a boxer boxer and I feel like it showed. You know what I'm saying Now the second time. Yeah, now the second time. I thought Wanda was up there, you know what I'm saying, had him on his ass and I don't know if the referee counted too slow. What's going on, but Tyson Fury bounced back man.
Speaker 3I saw that I feel like now he's done's done and then you start losing the people who not so dominant.
Speaker 2Yeah, it just hurts, bro, it just hurts different man.
Speaker 1When it's like, damn, is it time to retire, like I don't even know if you want to put that on somebody, do you start saying, damn, now it's time to retire. Or like, if I'm starting to lose the people, that's not even because we all wanted the anthony joshua and Deontay Wilder fight. Like I don't even know if we're going to get that Yo so who we got?
Speaker 3right now, I don't even think it makes sense.
Bare Knuckle Boxing and Music Comeback
Speaker 1Who we got right now. You don't think it makes sense? Well, they both been losing. Slam Like they both done, got knocked out.
Speaker 2So nah fight Like nah. We want y' top of the game. I don't want to see them fight now. It's the last night. Why is it no? Why was they running from each other when they was the top two? Let's get this shit on.
Speaker 3This is boxing, that's what I said, man, it's different now. I told you that's what I'm saying. It's politics. Now, bro, it's too much.
Speaker 2I don't really watch it like that. Ain't gonna lie to you. I like heavyweights, but I don't Cause nobody getting out of that.
Speaker 1Yeah, I'm with you.
Speaker 3I'm used to the heavyweights.
Speaker 2I'm used to the heavyweights Running shit.
Speaker 1Somebody getting planted man, somebody going down. I'm with you Cause it's like when Deontay Wilder Damn. I know, buddy was a Zo too.
Speaker 3Oh, my God, don't even talk about that. Yeah, he went and took the cash, bro. He took the money and took off.
Speaker 1I forgot his name. Yeah, g, it was a G. But I mean, when he knocked that dude out through the ring and all that stuff, it's like dog buddy, buddy. I don't think he ever bounced back, but it's almost like the memes and the. It's like he went viral for losing that fight, which was like crazy to me, because then it's like the Zoes were kind of like oh no, we're not claiming him. I'm like dog, he didn't throw nothing. I know, it was pretty sad. It was pretty sad, hey man.
Speaker 3Hey man, he got paid man.
Speaker 2He got paid man.
Speaker 3The way it thought out. That was whoo. That's what I think. That's what pushed the NFL.
Speaker 1Yeah, bernstein, I remember Bernstein was the last thing, something like that. Oh man, but boy, I just remember the memes dog of him. Just like you know what I mean, I was like no no, he missing to this day, to this day.
Speaker 3He's missing, to this day.
Speaker 1Yeah, Dog Boxing ain't no joke. Man Nah, man Boxing ain't no joke.
Speaker 3They got this. Bare knuckle now, bare knuckle, boxing it hasn't been out too long?
Speaker 1No, it's in the ring now.
Speaker 3It's in the If. What homie called? What was his name? That passed away from Miami? What was his name?
Speaker 1What did he do it?
Speaker 3was backyard boxing. What's his name? Not Kimbo Slice, if Slice was still here.
Speaker 1Slice passed.
Speaker 3Yeah, he oh.
Speaker 1I didn't know Kimbo passed.
Speaker 3Yeah, oh, I think UFC even gave him a nice RIP. Yeah, I think he was in UFC at one point. Yeah, he went in the UFC, which I hated. That he did that.
Speaker 1I remember he was in UFC for a little bit. I hated that he did that. Oh, you don't mess with me. I didn't know Kimbo passed. I didn't know Kimbo passed. Yeah, yeah, pull it up.
Speaker 3Oh Lord, you know, I think if Kimbo was still around and probably healthy, this would have been his field the bare knuckle. I don't know if you've seen it, Van Damme, have you?
Speaker 2Nah.
Speaker 3Oh guys, it's not on TV. That's how crazy it is. So it started up. It started up, it got big. It's on the app and they stream it. They show it on the what was yours?
Speaker 1It was Heart Failure.
Speaker 3Heart Failure, mm-hmm, yeah, he was a big dude bro.
Speaker 1I just never. I remember, damn it's been that long. Yeah, how long ago. Kimbo died, on June 6, 2016.
Speaker 3Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1I've been out to loot. I remember seeing him on and I thought maybe he just retired slowly. I didn't know he passed.
Speaker 3He was still going after it. He had a team and everything. 42, man, yep, yep, young. Yeah, damn, that's what I said. This boxing right now these guys are over 40. This bare knuckle boxing, yo what you call it. He quickly ran and picked it up and bought it, connor. Connor went and bought it. Connor McGregor he bought the whole thing out. It's nasty y'all. Oh, these guys Talking about knocking and putting. Oh my God, it's hard. When I see, I'll send y'all a clip. It's on YouTube.
Speaker 2No, it's on Instagram.
Speaker 3They got an IG and all bruh, but they got their own app, so they show the highlights. Y'all already know the.
Speaker 2House of Highlights and all that.
Speaker 3Oh man, oh yo. It almost took out boxing for me. Like these boys doing it Outside of UFC. It's them boys. So Conor McGregor ran in and was like uh-uh, I'm purchasing this right now. He bought the whole thing, so he's the one that own it. Yeah, he bought that bad boy.
Speaker 1I got a. What is it?
Speaker 3called Bare.
Speaker 1Knuckle Boxing, bare Knuckle Boxing, mm-hmm, I have to see. I know the slap, I know the slap.
Speaker 3Thing. I thought the slap was crazy.
Speaker 1Yeah, the slap is crazy. I seen the slap lead, I didn't know about that.
Speaker 3I thought that was crazy, Bare Knuckle Boxing these boys in the ring going at it man.
Speaker 1I thought the slap was crazy when I it's a straight out fight. Conor McGregor owned something because he got in the record label too. Yeah, he just signed on with Xzibit. Xzibit signed him. What? Xzibit back rapper? Yeah, xzibit just dropped a dope ass video. That thing already got like I don't know. I think he almost hit like 2 million, am I?
Speaker 2right Xzibit.
Speaker 3Yeah.
Speaker 1Xzibit back. Yeah, I think it's called In my Day. I forgot the name of the record, but he's in a restaurant. It starts off. He's in a suit, he's in a restaurant and, yeah, he sounds the same. I don't know if y'all ever listened to Exhibit back in the day, but he sounds the same, Like the old school flow is still there. The beat was current. You, the old school flow is still there. The beat was current. You know more modern, you know more current. It was up to date with the beat. The sound is still there. And yeah, Conor McGregor, he signed to, Conor McGregor, Wow.
Speaker 3I think that's his first artist under the label.
Speaker 1To be honest with y'all Smart man, smart man, I don't know why Exhibit though I don't know if that was a relationship they had prior, because I I would think he would have probably been scouting and trying to find you know. But hey, there's something there. And exhibit doing numbers. Already that's tough, that's probably his army yeah, yeah, that's what I'm. It had to feel like something because I'm like, out of all the artists you signed, exhibit.
Speaker 1I ain't knocking exhibit, but exhibiting you know, I'm just saying, since you said pimp, my Ride is what we it was the last thing, and that was successful.
Speaker 1He's been in the movies and the shows, and so you know yeah, but when you think music right now right, look, he could run it up quick if he would've came in Florida and find some talent, or Atlanta, he could've got some artists in and really run it up. I'm just saying damn, he could have got some artists in and really run it up. I'm just saying Damn. So yeah, no, exhibit back. Man, it's good seeing the OGs come. You know what I mean. It's still dropping heat.
Speaker 1That's fine, that's fine, so y'all definitely going to have to check that out. Man, yes, sir, yes, sir, oh, shoot, what's the name of that? I'm gonna find it for y'all boys. Y'all got me shocked, like, like. I wonder why I came across my.
Speaker 3I think it was because of conor mcgregor. When they say he got a record label, yeah, he bought the um I see ice cube dropped a new song.
Speaker 2It was oh yeah he did.
Speaker 1Yeah, he did something going on. He said something. No, all I can say is something going on for all these. Uh, what's like, why ice cube? And I'll ask the same thing, like, what made him decide? Now, maybe he just woke up on that vibe, but, um it's. I'm happy to see it because I know our industry. We typically don't appreciate the older artists, you know. We always keep saying this uh, I don't know why, but we always say hip hop is a young man's game, like. But it's like, hip hop is hip hop, bro, you know what I'm saying? It don't got to be an old person yeah, rock and roll got legends.
Speaker 1You know I'm saying r&b got legends. You know I mean like he sweat still headlining tours. You know what I'm saying um ron osley the osley brothers still headlining tours. When I say headlining tours, you know what I'm saying Ron Isley the Isley brothers still headlining tours. When I say headlining, they closing you opening up for these artists here. You know what I'm saying. So hip-hop be like oh no. So I mean I ain't knocking it, but it's like you know Busta Rhymes was opening for 50 Cent. You know what I mean. So I know it's 50 Cent, he in for 50 Cent. You know what I mean. So I know it's 50 Cent, he got momentum. But typically it's like you know you put the OGs, they closing it out for you.
Speaker 1So you gotta be cautious of that. But I know Busta Rhymes could put on a show. You might want to be careful going after Busta.
Speaker 3Rhymes Busta Method man. Look, they sold out every single one.
Speaker 1Method 50.
Speaker 3You know 50 was with. You know their boss was with them.
Speaker 1So Well, 50 got that residency. Man I'm trying to make it out there. To be honest with y'all in Vegas, yo, y'all got to explain that to me.
Speaker 3I didn't pull it out. Residency that means he lives there from now on. Or is this for a moment of my life For that?
Speaker 1moment, like Usher did, a long period where he's out there he's performing, maybe at the same venue. So what that allows, if your birthday coming up or if it's a thing to do, you don't miss the show because it's like, oh, if it's for six months, I can make one of these dates. So, with 50 in Vegas. It's that same venue. If he's going to do 10 days or I don't know the period, I don't think it's a long, long time.
Speaker 2I I don't know the period, I don't think it's a long long time, but for that period Six days, six shows, okay.
Speaker 3So let me ask you Do they pay him to do that, or is this something that he has to pay? No, you get paid for your $15 million, how much $15 million, how much Usher got?
Speaker 1Usher was a long time, bro. I couldn't tell you he was there for a minute. You're right, that shit was there for a minute, dog Damn.
Speaker 3Everybody old lady. If she was traveling, done seen us.
Speaker 1Yeah, you know what I'm saying, but yeah, I'm too far to do.
Speaker 2six shows man Sign me up.
Speaker 1You see he turned down Trump for the three mil. So Sign me up, right, that's what I'm talking about. So yeah, man, I'm trying to see if I'm going to make it out there, man, because I wanted to see 50 when he did the final lap.
Speaker 2He was in West Palm.
Speaker 1Yeah, he was right there, but I had to go to Tampa on the same. It was just bad timing. I know I would have been in there. I want to see 50 live, at least before he call it quits. Yeah, because he about to. Because he about to the movies man he doing too good man with the production and films Damn.
Speaker 2You know what's crazy. I don't even mean to cut y'all boys off, but that's something I was thinking about, about LeBron. I didn't even get to say about that. I feel like everybody is enjoying Brunny and we forgetting that this is the end of LeBron. Lebron is leaving soon.
Speaker 3That's why everybody buying tickets.
Speaker 2I don't really think everybody is focusing in on that, everybody focusing in on what Brunny doing and not really realizing that Brun about to be on his way out 23,.
Speaker 3Right, it's the 22nd season.
Speaker 2He said he wanted to play with his way out 23,. Right, it's the 22nd season.
Speaker 3He said he wanted to play with his son and then he gone. Well, think about it, bro, we had LeBron for a minute. You didn't see LeBron. Like we seen LeBron a couple of times, bro, we had to Come on man, he was here, he was in Miami. We was, like, had to make this happen, gave us a longer season than you know, than Kobe did. Like, bro, like I got friends that are mad that they didn't go to a Kobe game. I am oh you are too, yeah, see.
Speaker 1No, I could understand that. Yeah, no, I could understand. That's why I want to see, like I guess this is a sign from y'all boys, because I've been talking about seeing 50 Cent for a long time and I feel like I've been talking about seeing 50 Cent for a long time and I feel like I haven't made it, made it work. I got some homies who will travel, like book a flight, get a hotel to go to a show, and I'm like I don't know if I'm that crazy yet, but I'm like, nah, man, like if they doing it, if you really want to see somebody live, you, finna, go see that person live right you know how many people fly out to the Cowboys, the Texas, to go watch a Cowboy game, to get that experience.
Speaker 1You know what I'm saying. So I'm like no People drive to Tampa. When Tom Brady was in Florida, people were driving to Tampa and driving back the same day to go watch Brady.
Speaker 2So I'm like you win, I win. I'm saying I definitely want to see my guy.
Speaker 1You want to see your guy. You see what I'm saying. So heck yeah, so nah, man, I want to see 50, man, anybody, y'all boys want to see live.
Speaker 2I ain't going to lie, I want to go to Master P like no Limit.
Speaker 1No Limit.
Speaker 2Reunion and the Cash Money reunion Okay, Cash Money will be lit.
Speaker 3I was about to go see Pain, but it got cancelled because we had something else going.
Speaker 1Yeah, so where was Steve Pain going?
Speaker 3to be at. He was in. Uh, was it Lauderdale? I think it was Lauderdale. Yeah, I can't remember. This was last year, though. Last year October around this time, september, october damn.
Speaker 1Yeah, I fuck with Pain man cause he a performer too.
Speaker 3So yeah, I think I would have liked it.
Speaker 1Yeah, pain, yeah, I'd love to see that. Let me say cash money, uh, is it? Are they okay? What's happening with turkey, like, are we good now? They good with everything, like what everybody's showing up to the shows or what's up with that?
Speaker 3I just haven't seen them, all of them together, on the show yet uh, manny and juvie just said something like yo, y'all boys, no, no, no, not yet it's turkin um bg and turk fixed a situation them two, yeah, but the situation, but I haven't seen them perform.
Speaker 3Okay, yeah, yeah and then boys like yo I mean well, juvie, uh man, he said uh, that turk and I forgot who the other guy was was like yo. Y'all losing out on money. Y'all boys like yo. Why y'all too busy over there arguing and and doing? Y'all losing out on money. Y'all boys like yo. Why y'all too busy over there arguing and doing this, y'all missing out on this, like why y'all ain't trying to do it. Nobody else is tripping. So we don't know, we really don't know. Them boys didn't say either. He said they tripping out, losing all money. That's what Manny said, just seen it recently. Y'all they tripping right now. They said y'all need to do whatever. Y'all have Rap groups are difficult.
Speaker 1Dog, there's too much people bro, it's not. It just seems like to be the trend. It's like other groups can fall apart. They kind of get it back together or they'll replace somebody. You see, they try to keep it going, but rap groups, I feel like, struggle the most when it comes to staying together. Longevity. I feel like rap groups struggle the most, though.
Speaker 2It depends, I feel like it's. I feel like it depends on the relationships. Like, if they just put together, then yeah, like for sure. But, like with our situation, we really was brothers before the rap, so I feel like it was easy, it was easier.
Speaker 3Yeah, that makes sense Because 50 said the same thing. Him and Yayo was really close, I feel like when you try to force something.
Speaker 2it's different you know what I'm saying, Like when you try to force a rap group and you got different people from different and you try to force it together. It's different, Like Boys in the Hood yeah, like Boys in the Hood. For sure, for sure, it wasn't organic.
Speaker 1Yeah, it was a good idea, good idea, but like see, that's what I'm saying Like they gave you a classic Most groups fall out.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying Most groups fall out because they don't be real friends like that, yeah, they only. And even if they do be real friends, sometimes the business and pleasure mix together and then it it fuck up the friendships that's true.
Speaker 1That's true because I think every time 50 does an interview, they're like yo will we ever see you? Do you know what? Do you see everyone doing these tours, the reunions, now? They're like will we ever? Nah, shut that shit down.
Speaker 2Look at the City Girls Just two of them man, they was just together and just popping just last couple years. Now they bump heads, bro. They separate artists. That's how it be sometimes. Sometimes this one feel like this one getting bigger than this one. I ain't saying that's their case.
Speaker 2It kind of felt that way case those are the kinds of things that could happen in a um, in a group yeah I'm saying one person feel like this person getting more shine. The fans like this person more, he getting more studio time, he getting the stylist and I ain't like that type of shit happen like. So that's why groups always fall apart when they're not really friends and shit like I. Just sometimes the business fucks shit up. You gotta be able to swallow that shit, bro.
Speaker 3It only makes sense, bro, if they work for it. They, you know. I'm saying it is what it is like beyonce. Beyonce was always the head of the group. What the girls do they sat back and did their part until you know, until whatever happened happened, bro, because the plan was her, I think was for her to be solo anyway.
Speaker 1That's how much easier sometimes when I you know, even on a independent level, though, like it's like when you have a group and if everybody's committed, I'd be looking like if you busting a budget down, how much easier when everyone is chipping in versus that one person. Let's just say, a music video going to cost you five bands for this type of video you're about to shoot. Now you got a group of four. You know what I mean and we all believe in it. We're working together. You know how much less of it comes out of your pocket when four people chipping in versus one person paying for this five thousand dollar video because you might do this five thousand dollar video and now you got to sit for six months because you had to save that much money, no money to put this thing out and hopefully it does what it does. But as an independent artist, when you think about booking studio time, getting with the graphic designer, recording, mixing, mastering, promoting, being visible, posting content, it's just like it's a lot.
Speaker 1It's a lot that you got to do to exist in it and that's why I'm like I would love to be part of a group where everybody on the same page and we could just bust down these plays and spread faster. Then I'm like, man, that's a win to me. Man, it's like wow, like that's a win versus trying to be another artist. You know being an artist, but then now it's like we pretty much in competition when we could be. If you post this flyer, this record, think about the visibility we'll have if, if my audience, your audience, it's like how many people audience seeing it now?
Speaker 2but sometimes it don't work like that, sometimes it just don't work like that. I get exactly what you said. It makes perfect sense, but in that moment people just don't, I don't know, like chasing the fame, the status and wanting to be that person.
Speaker 2Like you got people with different cap people. I want to do this, they, we should do this, we should do that. Like it's harder to get everybody on one page. Then, yeah, you know what I'm saying the more people you got, the more harder it is. I think it make it more harder, I agree, I agree. Let's just say we about to shoot a video, right? Okay, I'm the artist. Okay, I'm just the artist and y'all like what you want to do in the video, I'm the only one who got the idea. It's my video.
Speaker 1Yeah.
Speaker 2Now let's just say it's four people. I want to get a Lambo, I want to have motherfucking two chicks, but he want to do something At the trap house. He don't want to have chicks in it and he wanted to look more hood. Like that's where it come in. Stuff like that happen. You know what I'm saying. It can happen and mess up the relationship.
Speaker 3All that could have been talked about and avoid. I understand, I understand, I understand. No, I really do. But all.
Speaker 1That's why in the conversation yeah, but that's why groups always go through it yeah, I, I just we, yeah, I just would love to see, I wish. I still feel like that's a secret ingredient, even when I'm paying attention to the younger artists, even from our city, like when we talk about Palm Beach, I feel like that's the missing ingredient, the people who are bubbling.
Speaker 1I still don't see the collaboration the way I. It's like everyone still wants to be the man and I think there's nothing wrong with knowing who you are and where you stand, but I still think it's going to take some collaboration to make it work. When I say that it might be okay we collab on a record and we might have a show or it might be posted on a certain platform that I got a relationship with, maybe you don't, that could help that visibility. I just think we need more of that in the city, because now I'm hearing a lot of different, these younger guys, and I'm like when I look at their timelines or the records they got, I notice it's with nobody else in the city.
Speaker 2You see what I'm saying.
Speaker 1Like I just don't understand that part. Like we, and if you do your research, I still feel like, even if it's an OG, I still feel like it was always a dream to work with like Triple J. You know what I'm saying. It was always a dream to work with like. Suave, like you knew these guys and you're like man.
Promoting Unity and Collaboration in Music
Speaker 1If I just get a song and get a 16 from Triple, I'll be happy. I made it. You know what I'm saying and I just wish that era, and I wish even the younger generation, if y'all watching, don't be scared to reach out to somebody who you see got motion, you know? I mean, see if y'all could swap out the record or whatever it is, if there's somebody that don't, because you never know.
Speaker 2Okay, like you never know, that's that's how it's supposed to go. You're supposed to reach back in, um, bring the ogs back. You know. I'm saying do songs with them. That's how I go.
Speaker 1Yeah, pay respect, it's all good dog like you know, reach out dm and hit up somebody who know that person, because I done, done it so many different ways like you. Some people don't check the dm and what's that thing? When you message somebody you're not friends. You go in that other uh that other folder.
Speaker 3Yeah, you go in that other folder like some people don't click on that shit at all.
Speaker 1Two years later you see what I'm saying. But if I know somebody who rock with Slam, or I see him with somebody. I might be able to hit up a homeboy, though who's going to see it and be like, oh, this person pressured. I think this might be worth checking them out.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying, and I think, even like you said, more, it's even more to that, like showing up in each other videos and supporting each other, like just showing unity, showing each other support like that's gonna make everybody else want to support each other.
Speaker 2Like you see these detroit artists. You might see one artist it's his video but he got like four other detroit artists that's on the rise around in the video they're not on the song, they just they're supporting, they vibing, they just showing that they all support each other. You know, I'm saying they all, hey, we from all from Detroit, we rocking with each other yeah stuff like that.
Speaker 2You know I'm saying little stuff like that to make a, make a difference too and making people want to support they're seeing the artists together. They go all right. Let's say everybody get together. You know, I'm saying to get behind these artists instead of just seeing one person over here, one group of people over here, one people over here agree, agree, I think that's the secret ingredient, man.
Speaker 1That's why I think I don't, and it could be, and I'm speaking for everyone like when we talk about djs, we talk about promoters, we talk, talk about even producers, man, palm Beach just needs more collabs, more unity, and I think that's going to help us go just a little further man than what we're already doing. There's a lot of younger cats out there, like every now and then I saw a few come out and I did kind of wanted to let me see if I can. Just I want to see if y'all just know the names y'all can speak on.
Speaker 2I made a post. I made a little post on my Instagram when we did the podcast last time I said I like some new artists. But when y'all asked, me.
Speaker 3I was like I don't want to.
Speaker 1But I was like, that's not fair to those artists.
Speaker 2You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1Like that's actually putting in the work so you was able to poke. You went ahead and I said some names.
Speaker 2but it's like, even if I didn't say your name, I probably you know what I'm saying, didn't see, but it's like I'm still one person At the end of the day. I don't want people to be like, oh damn, he didn't say my name, I'm still one person.
Speaker 3You good V, because I want to know him, bro, because I'm here, I want here, I want to know. You know I'm saying, um, I'm not gonna lie to you. Girl, like I I get, I get, I I get stuck on artists that.
Speaker 2I know that's hungry.
Speaker 3Oh, I see you watching now I'm like, okay, bet you never know, I might want to reach out, like hey, listen, I got a pack of beats here. Here's a pack of five bomb. You know what I'm saying. But again, I I don't know. I don't know who's coming. I don't Like there's nothing. Again, like Glover said, like even if there's somebody that dropped something, they're not showing love to somebody else to see who's coming. You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1Yeah, so, like I just wanted to kind of, we can use this to close out too. But you know, the top list is based off of youtube and spotify songs. Okay, that dropped in 2024, so we have uh, I'm starting from the beginning. Let me go back to the beginning. At number 10, you got legit mo. I don't know if y'all heard of them, but number 10, they got legit mo wait, wait to be correct, these are people in this area yeah, this is palm beach artists at number nine we got lord, lord lynn, I know she got takashi, she, she kind of screamed a little bit when she rapped number.
Speaker 1Yeah, this is Palm Beach artists. At number nine we got Lord Lynn. I know she got Takashi. She kind of screamed a little bit when she rapped Number eight. We got Revenue Rob. Oh, I see him you know the freestyle and I know he's been working.
Speaker 3Okay, he's been on platforms too.
Speaker 1Number seven they got Soulja Kid.
Speaker 3Definitely know Soulja.
Speaker 2Okay, I think a lot of us heard of soldier kid and no soldier kid. Okay, number six, we got 50 jit stepper for sure, for sure, what part of palm beach you from um, that's a good question.
Speaker 1I wish I knew. I don't know number five. They got mari montana. Okay, I don't know what part. I don't know what part. I want to feel like Soulja Kid from Derry Boynton Four. We got Lil Toe.
Speaker 2I haven't seen him in a minute. That's the name I said His name sounds familiar.
Speaker 1He used to wear a mask.
Speaker 3That's the name I said too.
Speaker 1Number three we got 1900 Rugrat. My first time seeing him. He's Caucasian.
Speaker 3Wow.
Speaker 1Mm-hmm Number two we got G40.
Speaker 3I just started seeing some videos.
Speaker 1Okay, I just started seeing some clips of him. I don't know what part of Palm Beach he from and number one is gonna go to Snot. He spell it with the money sign N-O-T Snot. Yeah, I think he made like different type music. Okay, his wardrobe look like it. Yeah, his wardrobe look like it. So that's like just some of the younger cats for some of those out there watching and listening, and you trying to see who is the younger cats, uh, for some of those out there watching and listening, and you're trying to see who is the younger generation coming from palm beach. That's just uh, that's a list, uh, brought to you by dj 14. Um, I know he's doing his research. So, yeah, you know we got younger cats out there, uh, on the come up man, so definitely check out their music. Man, we here to support, we here to have the conversation, the tough conversations, and we here to give you our platform.
Speaker 1I know in the future we'll be bringing in some of these artists I do want to reach out to and I'd love to hear from them get their story and what side of Palm Beach and what they're doing to get the momentum to get these Spotify numbers, to get the YouTube numbers up. Maybe we could share that information, what they feel like sharing, but we can share with the generation and just keep it going.
Speaker 2I think that's definitely a good idea, great idea.
Speaker 1Yes, sir, yes sir, what's that? What's that? All right so, with that being said, who want to close? Anybody got some closing remarks. Anything y'all want to say, to go ahead and close that.
Speaker 2You got one for you. Man, be smarter. If you're an artist, whatever you're doing, man, just be smarter. Man, Make sure you're praying and make sure you're watching everything and everybody around you. Respect everything and everybody around you. Put God first, family second, man, and stay blessed.
Speaker 1I like that, I like that I ain't even gonna mess with that one, yeah right right.
Speaker 3That felt good, for real, for real.
Speaker 1That felt good, man. Well, man, y'all tuned in to another episode of Exposure. I be your boy, the Global Zo, and I'm with Drago Mill, and we also got.
Speaker 2Hand Damn Body Slim. And we out Bow Drago Mill, and we also got, and we out Bow bow, Bow bow bow.
Speaker 3It's more than just a podcast. It's Exposure.
